Owned and operated by Gould Farm and located on Route 23 in Monterey, 8 miles east of Great Barrington, the Roadside Café & Store is open weekly Wednesday through Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The café is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Customers can choose from a variety of hearty breakfast and luncheon meals, many prepared with produce, meat, eggs and cheese from Gould Farm. The oversized pancakes are famous (Bon Appetit Magazine selected Roadside as one of the five best places in the country to have breakfast) and the homemade soups, fresh baked goods, daily specials are much sought after. Maple syrup, mint tea, pancake mix, t-shirts, mugs, caps and other items are available as well.

For nearly 30 years, Roadside has been an integral component of Gould Farm’s work program, providing a respectful and challenging environment from which guests can begin to join the larger community of Berkshire County.
